Trackless Australia deploys and operates transport systems that combine the best of light rail and the best of buses. We service both private and government clients through our exclusive relationship with Shanghai Electric.
The Trackless system is a total solution for easing congestion and has many configuration options. Details of the components of the solution are below.
Guidance System: The guidance system involves a computer that interfaces with the steering system of the vehicle and a strategic positioning sensor that detects strategic positioning nodes that are embedded into the road.
Management System: The location of the vehicle is sent to a central management system where all vehicles can be coordinated. The management system can send route information to the trams and send schedules to the platforms.
Platforms: Platforms are raised from the ground so wheelchairs can access the trams without need for a ramp. The platforms can be fitted with screens to display when the next tram is coming. The platform can also be fitted with gates that only open when the tram is docked with the platform.
Trams: The latest in Electric Trams can also be provided. Trams need to be accredited to drive on Australian public roads. The trams can be recharged at platforms or at the end of the line with over or under carriage charging rigs.
Sensor System: Millimeter wave, Lidar, Radar and other sensors can be fitted to the tram. A screen fitted inside the bus will display the information coming from the sensors.
